What Is Texas Fashion Week?

Texas Fashion Week (TFW) was created in 2009 on the campus of Prairie View A&M University. TFW started as the Fashion Week Prairie View. After the success of the first year and the anticipated expand of the week we changed the name to Texas Fashion Week. TFW was created by Celestial Hall the Executive Director-Producer from her love for Fashion. TFW has worked diligently to bring upscale high fashion New York styled fashion shows. TFW is continuously growing and expanding its market every year. This year TFW will be targeting the youth. With our new program Future High School Designers Day.

This year’s new programs include the “Future Fashion Designer High School Day”. This program will allow high school students to come to Prairie View and participate in a day dedicated to the empowerment of youth in charge of fashion. This day will include workshops being taught by industry professionals. Workshops will include Fashion Designers 101, The Art of the Model, The Business of Fashion, Learn How to Sew in 1 hour and so much more! All sewing machines and extra fabric will be donated to the winners of the scholarship program "Keep Fashion Alive .
